An itinerant Army wife, I have been fortunate to be able to live and travel in some wonderfully exotic places and this has given me a great repertoire to work from. My home is in Dorset and I have exhibited at Dorset Art Weeks, as well as in Istanbul, Muscat & Islamabad.  I have been shortlisted for the BP Portrait Award and in 2020 was accepted into the New English Art Club's Annual Open Exhibition for the first time.

 

I have always been fascinated by abstraction, perhaps "the purest form of painting", and recently have been attempting the leap into this deeply challenging way of working, concentrating on the process of painting itself, the sensuality of the medium, composition, colour, mark making, chunks and lines.  When it works, these things alone are hugely satisfying.

 

My website currently reflects this still unresolved mixture of elements from an ever evolving process.
